- SERA DELL'EPIFANIA:  Twelfth Night
A representation of amateur actors takes place at the parish church.
 

- FESTA DI PRIMAVERA:
It takes place inside the 'Parco del Barberino' at Easter Monday. It consists in a journey through which you receive petals at every stop in order to make a flower, which has to be handed over at the arrival.

- in the afternoon a competition: the housewives of Cividate make homemade cakes and the best one is rewarded.
- In the morning it is an ancient custom to eat 'spongada with salame'
 

- CARNEVALE:
On the last Sunday of Carnival there is a parade and a fancy-dress ball takes place on Shrove Tuesday

- ESTATE CIVIDATESE:
A range of cultural events which take place in summertime.
- On the First Sunday in August guided visit to the'Parco del Barberino'
- A Tour of 'MALGHE': Varrilla, Spondone, Lavena, Rondenino, Campolaro
- In late summer a tour to a European city is usually organized
 

- SANTO STEFANO 
 St. Stefano is the Patron Saint of the town, during the feast it is organized 'L'incanto della Melga' an auction sale to get money for the local parish church.

- On Thursday:  after the 1st and the 3rd Sunday of the month there is an open-air market
 

TRADITIONAL CUSTOMS

CALENDAR
Every year it is issued a calendar which proposes themes of life and tradition of Cividate.
It is sold at the news-stands and is sent to emigrants of Cividate abroad

AMUSEMENTS
In the past children played with lanterns-pumpkins with a ghoulish face ‘co de mort’ carved on one side which glowed when a candle was lit inside.
